MISSION

PEARL Institute of New York is dedicated to the education, advocacy, research and dissemination of information that contributes to culturally competent social work practice and other human services programs serving the United States, Pacific Rim populations and beyond.

HISTORY

The Pacific, Education, AdvocacyResearch, and Learning Institute (P.E.A.R.L. Institute) was founded as a non-profit organization in 1993 by a group of AAPI community leaders who were committed to addressing community and human service needs. The founders envisioned it to be an organization that addresses social service policy needs and provides culturally congruent human services tailored to populations from the Pacific Rim and beyond. In 2015, the Institute was re-established as The Pacific, Education, Advocacy, Research, and Learning Institute of New York, Inc.
