About the Event

This 1-day conference will help social workers and mental health counselors understand the risk complexities faced by these students, as well as promising and effective interventions to help Chinese students acclimate and succeed. Participants will examine two important areas - the problem and its solutions. The morning section will be devoted to defining the problem from key experts in the field. The afternoon will be devoted to presenting solutions for social workers and mental health professionals who work with Chinese students. We will hear from both mental health experts and students with their own personal experiences of the challenge.
